The company focuses on "streaming (real-time) video generation," a frontier direction in AI. Unlike the "submit → wait → generate" offline paradigm of conventional text-to-video and image-to-video systems, FrameX-AI is building video models that generate continuously like a stream — responding in real time and extending without limit — moving AI video from "offline short-clip generation" toward "Omni-Immersive Video Generation".
Founding Team
Founder : Ben Wang(Yuxin Wang)
Yuxin Wang received his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2023 and was honored with the President's Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, one of China's highest distinctions for doctoral graduates. Over the past five years, he has authored more than 20 papers in leading AI conferences and journals, with over 2,000 citations on Google Scholar.
Upon graduation, Ben received elite talent offers from several of China's leading technology companies, including Huawei, Tencent, ByteDance, and Kuaishou, before choosing to build in the foundation model space. As employee No. 007 at Yuanshi Technology, he led one of China's earliest Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) pre-training teams, overseeing the training of 200B+ parameter MoE models and building from the ground up the core system for a next-generation general-purpose conversational AI assistant.
The team he led was recognized by renowned AI researcher and technology commentator Simon Willison (co-creator of Django) as one of China's Top 6 Foundation Model Teams of 2025, alongside DeepSeek, MiniMax, Zhipu AI, Qwen, and Kimi.
FrameX-AI's core team brings together exceptional AI researchers and engineers, including recipients of prestigious academic honors from USTC, Huawei Genius Youth awardees, ByteDance Top Seed talent, and Alibaba Star engineers. Combining cutting-edge research with large-scale foundation model engineering and end-to-end product development expertise, the team is dedicated to advancing the next generation of AI-native video technologies.
Chief Scientist: Professor Yongdong Zhang
Professor Yongdong Zhang is a Chair Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), where he currently serves as the Executive Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology. His research focuses on video stream computing, multimedia content analysis, and cyberspace media content security.
With extensive research experience in high-throughput video stream computing, media content analysis, and security, Professor Zhang has received several prestigious honors, including the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award, the Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award, and the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He was elected as an IEEE Fellow in 2025.
His research is highly synergistic with Frame-X in the fields of streaming video generation, real-time video understanding, and next-generation interactive video technologies. This collaboration will further drive the company's continuous exploration of frontier research and underlying technology roadmaps.
